I came to the Feldenkrais Method from a background of massage and yoga, and discovered the method in the process of exploring many health-related systems. I was instantly captivated by it's ability to improve my ease of movement and posture in a surprisingly short time. I have used the Feldenkrais Method to resolve my chronic neck pain, where treatment or stretching only gave temporary relief. With my clients, I could provide pain and tension relief using massage, but they often returned with the same issues in the same places. Feldenkrais lessons (whether individual or group classes), gave more long-lasting relief. I trained in Sydney 1993- 97, starting my practice in Nelson, then moving to Wellington in 2003. Working in Wellington CBD, I help many office workers with related physical challenges. I work with people with a range of issues - pain, sports injury, rehabilitation after joint surgery, etc. I enjoy helping people prevent injury by, for example, refining gym technique or improving running gait. I get referrals from happy clients, as well as professionals in the health system. I love seeing my clients improve, and hearing their stories about how the method has helped them. I do individual, hands-on sessions, and both live and online classes.
