Sarah McAllum


Sarah from Movement Works is like your personal movement detective. She uses her years of experience and expertise to find out why your body feels tired and achy, or your joints creak. She helps you unravel and actually reverse the movement patterns causing you tension and discomfort.   Sarah loves to empower you with the knowledge and tools you need to restore functional and pain free movement for life. So you can get back to the business of living your life and doing the things that you love. Sarah discovered the Feldenkrais Method ® in the early 2000s and finally found relief from chronic back pain. Amazed and inspired by her own results, Sarah gave up her corporate career and went on to complete her 800-hours training, graduating as a Certified Feldenkrais ® Practitioner in 2010. Since then, Sarah has made it her life’s mission to help others move better and feel more awesome. She offers group "not yoga" classes (aka Awareness Through Movement) online and in person, individual hands-on sessions and workshops at her beautiful orchard property in Jervoistown, Napier.

Learn to improve your mobility, coordination, balance and overall sense of wellbeing from the comfort of your lounge. We have a fun, supportive community and welcome all body types and levels of experience are welcome. Come along and experience a little bit of awesome for yourself!

Seated ONLINE CLASS - 45 minutes - perfect for anyone who is working from home or has difficulty in getting up and down from the floor.

She will help you relieve pain, get rid of habitual tension and stand tall. You will feel more resilient and confident and able to get on with living your life.   Along the way you will get to know you from the inside out and learn practical ways to keep yourself moving well for life.
