My original background is in linguistics and translation, and I have always been interested in languages, cultures and metaphors. My big passion and metaphor for life is the Argentinean Tango. I have three children and live with my family in rural Waikato. One of my kids has a disability, which made me discover the Feldenkrais Method. Since then, I've been passionate about the Method's benefits in improving well-being and releasing our human potential, so I'm very happy to share what I know and let more people discover this amazing modality. My particular areas of interest are neuroscience and neurobiology of pain (chronic pain), human development and working with children with special needs, as well as women's wellness in pregnancy and postpartum, including pelvic floor wellness and education. I run group classes in Hamilton and online, and see people individually close to Gordonton (under 10 min north from Rototuna). I also offer individual sessions online (pelvic floor education, chronic pain, supporting families of children with cerebral palsy and other neuromotor disorders). For full class details, please check my website or my socials (https://www.facebook.com/KoruMovement), as I am unable to list online classes here.

Delightful Mobility - Feldenkrais® Class for Postpartum and Beyond In this Awareness Through Movement® series, you'll explore somatically (through your body): - How movement can feel gentle, delicious and efficient at the same time - How you can achieve more by letting the effort go - How you can feel grounded and long, light and limber at the same time (aka great “posture”!), instead of fighting the gravity - How good skeletal support, coordination and reducing effort can help your pelvic floor - How to reconnect with your body and re-explore it at another level Hands, shoulders, feet, lower back, pelvis and overall posture are just a few areas we work around. We also usually include a good amount of pelvic floor work/play/focus. Pre-walking babies are welcome to the class. Warning: they might be used as movement models - we love rolling too!
